While Paris vibrates to the rhythm of Fashion week with men’s and Haute-Couture fashion shows, what could be more Parisian than discovering the greatest museums of the country with the most creative fashion-designer? From January 29 to May 15, the great Yves Saint-Laurent is on view not in one but in SIX museums in Paris. A new format to experience like an authentic Parisian, only a few minutes away from your apartment in QUARTIER LIBRE**** Saint-Georges.
In homage to the 60th anniversary of the creation of the Maison Yves Saint Laurent, on December 4, 1961, it is under the title “Yves Saint Laurent at the Museums” that Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, le Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Musée National Picasso-Paris and Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris together with the Pierre Bergé Foundation are offering an exhibition in a unique format: 6 museums at the same time, references and different angles of view on the dandy who democratized haute-couture and drew a lot of inspiration from the History of Art.
Each of the 6 museums is less than 30 minutes from Quartier Libre Saint-Georges. A Pompidou event talks about the artist Saint-Laurent, the Museum of Modern Art approaches his creation through light, Orsay makes the link with the author Marcel Proust, the Picasso Museum offers a kaleidoscope of moments of his career and it is the Louvre that speaks of French savoir-vivre.
A savoir-vivre of which you will know how to be a part by radiating from your apartment in Paris.
Have a nice visit and long live fashion!
